What happens when I don’t listen to my own advise? I often share how important self care is. Here I share what happens to me last week when I didn’t walk my talk.
Since returning to Bali my days were filled with a lot  of things to get done, people to meet and doing everything but looking after myself. After a week I reminded myself how important it is to look after my own. I was aware that I needed to take time to rest, integrate the teachings of my recent journey and just allow for some self love. It lasted for about 20 min until I scheduled more meetings for the following week. Running on adrenaline, excited about all the opportunities and synchronicities coming my way I just didn’t listen to the alarm bells going off inside off me.
As always if I don’t listen to my inner voice I will receive a reminder. For the last few days I was down with a nasty cold. If I don’t allow myself to rest when needed, the universe will force me to listen - every time without fail. Time to listen even more to my inner teachings..

I’m moving through and shifting deep emotional behavioural patterns right now. 
Patterns that no longer serve me.
I’m meeting old fears and I’m allowing the triggers to guide me.
I’ve been up at 5 most mornings unable to sleep.
My mind is awake.
My heart is open.
My body is trying to keep up...and I’m aware that my body feels tired. 
Every day I’m meeting that part of me that tells me that I’m not good enough and that it’s safer to play small...hide away.
I’m meeting this part with kindness and compassion.
This part of me fears rejection...as a little girl she experienced the sting of being shamed and shunned for being different...for being too much...too intense.
I am being invited to lean into vulnerability.
Fuck it’s not easy.
But this is why I am here.
I am busy doing the work...the work to be more of who I am.
How can I teach this if I’m not willing to be the student?
I’m being reminded to walk my talk...apply the work on myself.
Use emotional release techniques, sound, plant medicine and primal movement as a way to clear my emotional body so that she can run currently. 
I’m going deeper...daily.
My entire being is integrating new points of divine reference, new ways to consciously relate with the ordinary world. 
My life is my medicine.
And today the medicine is rest.
I’m resting.
Being of service...to myself.
My body desires to be still.
My mind...she’s wild right now. 
My heart longs for some time alone with me...she has many things she wishes to share with me in silence. 
And so it is.
I am here now...being patient with who I am..

Yes, if you are blessed to live long enough you are going to age.⠀

Yes, wrinkles and a certain amount of lessening of abilities comes with that. ⠀
⠀
Yes, you will lose speed, flexibility and perhaps the ability to call things to mind as quickly as you used to. ⠀
⠀
But the key to enjoying your life is how you perceive aging and how you will manage it⠀
⠀
Notice I said that aging is a blessing. YES, a blessing. It beats the alternative. I know it sounds goofy, but its true. The key is to work on your healthspan as you are aging. ⠀
⠀
Healthspan is the amount of years we live in good health. The goal is to make your healthspan match your lifespan. ⠀
⠀
The # 1  important thing is to be in relationship or community. We are social beings and are meant to interact with other people. And not behind screens either...IN PERSON. That is why I take every chance I get to go to conferences, masterminds and events where I can be in community with people.⠀
⠀
Other important things that increase your health span are:⠀
⠀
-Eat highly varied and nutrient dense foods. This will help your microbiome. I am committed to trying new foods and not staying stuck with the same old broccoli and carrots. The other day I grated sunchokes into my salad. I also started growing holy basil in my yard for tea. ⠀
⠀
-Healthy movement. You must find some type of movement to keep joints and muscles flexible ⠀
⠀
-Passion. What is your why? What is important to you? What do you wake up for every day? The man or woman who is retired but has no purpose in life is a sad thing indeed. ⠀
⠀
-Have your nutrient status checked. Middle age is synonymous with nutrient depletion. For this, I like the Spectracell Micronutrient test⠀

There are other things that you can do to increase your health span, but those are the few that come to mind at the moment. ⠀

I'd love to know which of these comes easy to you? What do you do to increase your health span so that you do not become a middle aged statistic?.

Priority today... Self care!! Cycle day 32...all household duties have been delegated, this mornings routine: prayer and meditation on waking, womb massage whilst still warm and cosy in bed... Now I'm sipping warm water by the fire while my feet get an epsom salt and ginger bath. Next will be journalling, enema and then a lovely chat with my friend @leoraleboff about radical self care... Who knows what the rest of the day may bring... More rest in some form!

Today is day 60. Four of the six pillars done... 45 minutes of intense exercise, a cold shower, journal and visualize. I won't have any alcohol and I'll have a keto day, so I DID IT! And it feels so good. But here's the thing... This is only the beginning. It's amazing what can happen to every part of life when you live with intention.

All of us were and still are supposed to take care of the world we live in. We have become spoiled by convenience and technology. We are wasteful, lack appreciation and have lost touch with nature and how it works. We are losing our empathy and moral compass. We listen to governments and pseudoscience without questioning the validity of their statements and studies.

We forgot how to question and think for ourselves.

It's time for us to grow up and repair the harm we have done to this planet and to each other.

Gaia needs us. 🌎
The time to rise up is NOW. ♥️
