No other building epitomizes the history of Paris more than the Notre Dame since the first stone was laid in the year 1163. This video I've created shows just how heavenly & majestic it's still visible after the recent tragic event. Can't wait to see the finished version in the next few years 🙌 #StayStrongParis ⠀
To Anyone Who Thinks The Notre Dame is more important than our ecosystems: ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
‼️‼️Coral reefs begin to form when free-swimming coral larvae attach to submerged rocks or other hard surfaces along the edges of islands or continents. As the corals grow and expand, reefs take on one of three major characteristic structures —fringing, barrier or atoll. With growth rates of 0.3 to 2 centimeters per year for massive corals, and up to 10 centimeters per year for branching corals, it can take up to 10,000 years for a coral reef to form from a group of larvae (Barnes, 1987).
Occupying less than one percent of the ocean floor, coral reefs are home to more than twenty-five percent of marine life. Hundreds of millions of people rely on coral reefs for essential nutrition, livelihoods, protection from life-threatening storms and crucial economic opportunity. In addition, over 70% of atmospheric Oxygen - Oxygen in 7 out of every 10 breaths you take - is produced by marine life. Economic net value between the fisheries and tourism industry, support of basic life function, habitat and shoreline protection and storm mitigation, global estimates value Coral Reefs between US$300Billion and US$9Trillion.
Having said all of this, I understand that beautiful and historic monuments such as The Notre Dame Cathedral have meaning for people. I never said it shouldn't be rebuilt, but we have the rest of time to do so. However, we will not EVER be able to do this if our planet cannot support life. The fact that this event has more people wound up than the collapse of our planet is frustrating and devastating.
♥️‼️🌍 Priorities must be set straight. Our oldest and most vital ecosystems are being threatened by ignorance and disconnect. It is OUR JOB AND PURPOSE to reconnect our global civilizations. For that is what we truly are, citizens of our Beautiful Earth.
Some points to consider 👍

I have really strong opinions on this. What do you think?
Honestly what bothers me is the clear negligence towards environmental issues by the rich. Yes, the average consumer like me produces a LOT of pollution and carbon emissions but it's really the corporate that is responsible for most of it. If companies and factories wanted to be eco friendly they could. If they wanted to cut down on their plastic, they would actually find substitutes rather than printing a #saveearth on their containers and using them as though it makes it better. And as sad as it is, the Notre dame does not need this much money in DONATIONS to get fixed. France is a rich country with plenty of taxes. The building on its own probably generates millions in ticket revenue anually. Im sorry but I for one do not stand with this. If you have a billion dollars to spare for this, then you should have a billion dollars to give back to the environment that you are taking from. .

Notre Dame workers wearing disposable underwear and protective clothing have returned to the fire-ravaged cathedral for the first time in a month today after downing tools over fears of lead poisoning. The April 15 fire melted hundreds of tons of lead which settled in the surrounding area. Workers are taking obligatory showers and entering via a decontamination zone.
It's hard to see in this photo but workers on the roof are wearing respirator style masks to work now. ...
