Have you noticed ?
I have been missing for a little while. Both on the stories and posting too.
That was intentional and I have a little story to tell you about.
If you think of me as someone standing easily behind the camera you are SO wrong. I had to learn, really. And since a decade I started a complicated relationship with photographs, which is the following:
So when I travel, and I am in new places for a short period of time (such as 2 weeks) I don’t really have time to put something in between my eyes and the view. I love slow time and the slowly discovering, and I will never relate with a so called “traveler” who is changing county every week.
Two weeks are nothing to soak in a new landscape, and especially to let your presence to be accepted by that new environment, if you know what I mean.
So how can you express your self about a place (shooting) if you don’t get your-self the time to get into it? Is this discovering really so superficial? What are you thinking about when shooting? The future memories or the present? And most of all: what will you remember in the end? The panoramas you shoot or the ones you actually saw?
Here is why I am so into Tuscany. Because this is rooting, it’s home. My discovering happens everyday and I am in the full process of expressing it. I don’t need to understand. I am. ...
Don’t you think so?
