**PML Classic Tip** In the next weeks we are going to present THE BEST posts from the last 1,5 years again. You have requested them so often - here they are!
Of course most of us love to travel almost as much as producing cool tracks. If you are like us, you probably still produce when on the road - or like in this up in the sky!
This is an example of how everything can inspire you for your next signature sound or weird ambient scapes, no one ever used before.
By applying today’s techniques you can get closer to ‚your own sound‘, since no one will have the samples you recorded yourself.
The only thing you have to do is keeping your ears open for interesting structures to start your sound design.
In today’s example we recorded our departing plane - with some people talking in the background. This is a good point (not only for the plane hehee) to start your journey.
1 record a sample
2 yes it can be anything
3 apply heavy filtering
4 apply redux
5 add reverb
6 load resonator (best case with the preset of your actual destination when traveling ;) )
7 trim it, freeze it, flatten it
8 drag to a simpler
9 decrease sustain to make it plucky
10 write killer hook
11 have a beer on the plane and enjoy your flight - check!
Anything can inspire you - there is no excuse!
Try this technique and feel free to tag us in a story, so we can shout you out. .
I love how Taylor Rutledge’s #ChromebookContract turned out and is displayed right on her Chromebook cart😍 This is available in my @teacherspayteachers store if you are interested. I also have posters for iPads, laptops and desktop computers. Students can make their commitment by adding their thumbprint👍 or signature🖊. Set those expectations on Day 1 to ensure proper use👏. Just send me a DM if you would like a direct link to the Chromebook Contract, Computer/Laptop Contract, iPromise iPad Poster or the bundle that contains all 3️⃣ and I will respond with the direct link😊.
CHROMEBOOK CONTRACTS were signed today so we were ready to roll! I'm grateful for Clever QR code logins and students who volunteer to help classmates because these first few days are always challenging!
I'm loving @the_techie_teacher_ 's Chromebook contract pack so students have the expectations right in front of them as they open the cart. Here we go! ...
Are you interested in cat health? 🐈
Do you want to geek out with us over genetics? 🤩
We'll be introducing feline genetic conditions and facts every week, through posts such as this one. 🤓
Today's topic: Myotonia!
Basepaws currently tests your cat's DNA for 39 genetic mutations that correspond to 17 health conditions. We named them #healthmarkers . 🏥 One of them is a rare, non breed specific, neuromuscular disorder called Myotonia Congenita (MC). The identified cause for MC is the autosomal recessive point mutation in the CLCN1 gene. The mutation is inherited in an autosomal recessive mode, meaning that a cat must inherit two mutated copies of the gene (alleles), one from each of the parent, in order to be affected by the disorder. 🦋 Typical signs of MC include prolonged muscle contraction, muscle stiffness, difficulty breathing, rising or moving, dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), regurgitation, protruded tongue and voice change. There are no specific treatments for the condition, but symptoms can be addressed with medications.
📣Turn notifications ON for hashtags #healthmarkers and #CatDNA not to miss any posts about your kitty's health!
