Congratulations to Michael Ash. “This was my first trip to the White Pockets. Traveling with my friend John Wilbur we arrived a few hours before sunset to scope out the area took daylight pictures and found some possible s for nightscapes” says Michael. Please show support to our guest artists by visiting their IG gallery. - MORE from Michael John found this particular spot and using PhotoPills discovered that the Milky Way would rise from the "saddle" of the rock formation just before 5 am. - Returning later that night and shooting Milky Way shots from 2am on I followed John to the he had found earlier. As we approached I noticed the large puddle of water in front of the formation something John hadnt noticed earlier when discovering this spot and expressed my curiosity if the Milky Way would cast a visible reflection. As I moved closer I exclaimed out loud at seeing the Milky Way reflection cast in the water. Adding a single LLL to camera right we proceeded to shoot our photos. - EXIF PANO.
