I had a once-in-lifetime moment yesterday afternoon looking at Robert McCloskeys original velum pencil drawings from "One Morning in Maine" one of my favorite childrens books about one of the best places on this planet... MAINE. 🛶🌲.

. I was standing in the Art Vault of the Mazza Museum at @ufindlay a collection of 12000 original childrens book illustrations beneath the Mazza Museum the worlds biggest museum celebrating childrens book illustrators. 12! Thousand! even the climate-controlled air felt inspired. .

I dont think they usually allow visitors there but I was annoying enough "Do you have anything from Charlottes Web? Little House on the Prairie? Any Garth Williams?" that finally the nice Mazza people were like OMG FINE.... just follow me... and next thing I knew I was standing in the aforementioned Vault. .

VAULT OF BOOK ART. Soak that in people. It checks all my boxes at once. I tried to stay cool but VAULT. BOOK. ART. I was practically levitating!.
