Here is my piece on the left at the Fantastic Fibers Exhibit at the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah KY. Nate and I went to the opening reception tonight.
Goose Chase quilt top finished. 😁
Now that is one big-ass flying geese block!
Just finished my iron tote/caddy. Now this will be a handy thing to have for retreats.
The sky was SO beautiful tonight I had to pull off the road and take a picture. I didn’t use any filters or enhancements—this is the REAL thing. It almost looks like something is on fire. I’ve never seen anything like it. #sunset #indianasunset #indianasunsets #fulsunset #sunset #fulsunset #indianasunsets #indianasunset
Day 31 Show Progress & Celebrate Success?—This hexagon quilt was the first thing I put on my list of “Quilts To Do.” I have been working on the hexie part of it for quite some time. I FINALLY got the borders put on it last night—all those mitered seams were NOT fun! The planner has helped to “push” me to get things done. I’m hoping that continues throughout this year. I am amazed I got a picture posted for every challenge this month! #qpbestyearever2018 #hexies #hexielove #hexiequilt #hexieseverywhere #hexielove @thequiltersplanner #hexieseverywhere #hexies #hexiequilt #hexielove #qpbestyearever2018
Day 30 How Do You Label?—I have started writing my labels directly onto the back of my quilts with a Pentel black ink fabric pen. It writes just like an ink pen. That way the label is permanent and cannot be removed. It works for me! I did “black out” my phone number and other personal information on my label before sharing. #qpbestyearever2018 @thequiltersplanner #qpbestyearever2018
Day 29 Fav Quilt Book—Today’s current fav books are of course my Quilter’s Planner The Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters by Sherri Lynn Wood Sew Wild by Alisa Burke and Art Quilt Collage by Deborah Boschert. If you look at my next picture you will see why I had trouble deciding which books to “feature” today. I LOVE MY BOOKS! #qpbestyearever2018 @thequiltersplanner #qpbestyearever2018
